The 8th Traditional Fig Day Event and undergraduate graduation project presentations, organized by our department, have been held.
We would like to thank all our academic staff, students, and participants who contributed to this event, which facilitated the sharing of research and projects prepared by our students and strengthened academic-industry collaboration.
In the poster competition held as part of the event, our team consisting of Sude Kömür, Velat Baban, Egehan Kaya, and Melis Tozan won first place with their study titled "Upcycling of Black Carrot Pomace from Turnip Juice Production: A Zero-Waste Approach for Functional Vegetable Juice Formulations," supervised by Prof. Dr. Fatih Mehmet Yılmaz. We congratulate our students and their advisor and wish them continued success.
