Program Outcomes and Objectives

                   Program Educational Outcomes

 P.E.O.-1. Have a good command of philosophical terminology and can identify, define, analyze and discuss philosophical problems 

P.E.O.-2. Recognize important philosophers and currents of thought in the history of philosophy

P.E.O.-3. Can read a philosophical text written in different periods of the history of philosophy recognize literature, gain the ability to write and interpret texts

P.E.O.-4. Can effectively use resources to do research on a philosophical problem

P.E.O.-5. Can use the critical thinking and questioning skills

P.E.O.-6. Explain the basic concepts, theories and problems of contemporary philosophy

P.E.O.-7. Think interdisciplinary and can interpret theories in different fields

P.E.O.-8. Able to interpret major philosophical, scientific, cultural and social changes in the history of humanity

P.E.O-9.  Ability to apply philosophical knowledge on the problems of other disciplines and current problems in social, cultural and political life

P.E.O.-10. Show commitment to ethical values, human rights and universal law

 

Program Objectives:

P.O.1. To ensure the fulfilment of the pedagogical formation requirements for the Philosophy Group Teacher Education

P.O.2. To update and adapt the educational program that supports students' personal development and prepare them for working in the educational and cultural units of both private and  public institutions and organizations

P.O.3. To educate students to have the competence to work in interdisciplinary fields

P.O.4. To help students to be qualified for employment in different business areas through interdisciplinary minor and double major programs

P.O.5. To educate students in a way that they can use conceptual, theoretical and methodological knowledge effectively in their graduate studies

P.O.6. To educate students to be visionaries in a way to recognize different cultures and educational opportunities through exchange programs

P.O.7. To educate students to gain critical thinking and questioning skills who can  identify connections and have effective problem solving skills

P.O.8. To educate students as individuals who are conscious of lifelong learning, and as seself-aware individuals who are conscious about of their ethical responsibilities, their country and the world
