The Double Major Program at Aydın Adnan Menderes University allows a student who is enrolled in a program to simultaneously take courses from a second program within the same academic unit to which their major program is affiliated and to obtain two separate diplomas.
Students may apply to the Double Major Program within the periods specified in the academic calendar:
For a double major undergraduate program, applications can be submitted at the earliest at the beginning of the third semester, and at the latest at the beginning of the fifth semester for four-year programs, the seventh semester for five-year programs, and the ninth semester for six-year programs.
For a double major associate degree program, applications can be submitted at the earliest at the beginning of the second semester and at the latest at the beginning of the third semester.
A student may apply only to programs that are within the same academic unit to which their major program is affiliated and that have been determined by the decisions of the unit board.
A student who wishes to apply for a double major program must not be registered in another double major program. A student cannot be enrolled in more than one double major program at the same time.
Students who have successfully completed all compulsory courses in the major curriculum up to the application period, have a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of at least 2.90 out of 4.00, and rank within the top 20% of their class in their major program may apply for a second major diploma program.
The Minor Program at Aydın Adnan Menderes University allows a student who is enrolled in a program to receive a minor certificate by following a program designed to acquire basic knowledge in another field in addition to their major field of study.
Students may apply to the Minor Program within the periods specified in the academic calendar:
For an undergraduate major program, applications can be submitted at the earliest at the beginning of the third semester, and at the latest at the beginning of the sixth semester for four-year programs, the seventh semester for five-year programs, and the ninth semester for six-year programs.
For an associate degree major program, applications can be submitted at the earliest at the beginning of the second semester and at the latest at the beginning of the third semester.
A student may apply only to programs that have been determined by the board of the academic unit to which the major program is affiliated.
Students who have successfully completed all credit-bearing courses in their undergraduate or associate degree program up to the semester of application may apply for the minor program.
At the time of application, the student must have a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of at least 2.70 out of 4.00 in the major program.
A student may enroll in at most one minor program during their education.
