There is one computer laboratory used in undergraduate education. At the beginning of the 2025–2026 Fall semester, the laboratory underwent maintenance, and it currently contains one projection device and a total of 40 computers. Devices that were non-functional from the previous period were removed, and the laboratory was restructured and renovated.
The laboratory has both wireless and wired internet access. Twenty-two of the existing computers were upgraded within the scope of the project titled “A Distributed Learning Model Based on Swarm Intelligence via Independent Sub-Artificial Neural Networks and an Adaptive System Framework for Machine Learning Problems” (Project No. ADUBAP-FEF-22026), which was conducted and completed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Korhan GÜNEL, a faculty member of our department. These computers, equipped with 8 GB DDR3 RAM and 240 GB SSD storage, have been serving students since the Fall semester of 2023.
In the 2024–2025 Spring semester, thanks to an infrastructure project led by the Dean of the Faculty of Science, Prof. Dr. Aytaç Gürhan GÖKÇE, 18 new-generation desktop computers with Intel Core i5 processors were purchased for the laboratory. Among these machines, one has 64 GB DDR5 RAM, sixteen have 40 GB DDR5 RAM, and the remaining one has 16 GB DDR5 RAM. After completing their installation, these devices have been made available for student use in the laboratory starting from the 2025–2026 Fall semester.
