The aim of the Department of Turkish Language and Literature is to raise individuals who are aware of the deep-rooted existence of Turkish language and literature from the past to the present, and who can take care of their products scientifically.
Throughout the education process, it is aimed for individuals to use modern scientific methods, to benefit from technological opportunities to be equipped with information about the field, to have knowledge about world languages and literatures, and to be aware of Turcology studies abroad.
It is aimed for the students of the department to work on the historical development of Turkish language and literature, to introduce these studies to the world, and to contribute to the intellectual and cultural accumulation of the country.
