With the severe competition conditions brought by the globalizing world, businesses have entered into the search and need of a fast and trouble-free production-marketing process. Supply chain management plays an important role in meeting this need, and at this point, the concept of "logistics" comes into play to meet the customer needs in the supply chain process. Logistics; demand management, inventory management, supply management, transportation management, storage management, etc. Value-added business requires an integrated and coordinated performance of many services such as packaging, customs clearance, risk, and insurance management, stock management, order management, labeling, pre-assembly, surveillance. The good management of these processes is a prerequisite for that company to manage the supply chain processes well. These efforts are always aimed at providing the right product, the right amount, the right conditions, the right place, the right time, for the right customer, at the right cost. For this reason, logistics and transportation are critical units for all other departments of businesses, and this situation is an indication that the need for personnel who will work in the logistics and transportation sector is increasing day by day.

The curriculum of our department has been prepared by prioritizing both the qualifications of the human resources that a company operating in the logistics sector is looking for and the management of the logistics operations of the enterprises, regardless of the sector. From this point of view, graduates, national or international cargo, transportation and logistics businesses, ports, airports, stations, terminals, etc. that offer ancillary services to them. They are trained to work in enterprises, in the logistics and distribution departments of other businesses, in businesses that provide insurance, customs clearance, and storage services, as well as establish their own businesses.
