Graduate Education

Students in the Plant Protection Department receive a four-year undergraduate degree program, acquiring fundamental knowledge of agricultural engineering and the theoretical and practical application of plant protection science. In the first and second years of the program, they primarily take compulsory basic science courses and basic agricultural engineering courses, providing them with the opportunity to develop their knowledge in various agricultural sciences. In the third and fourth years, they specialize in their fields by taking courses focused on plant protection education. Within the department's curriculum, they learn about diseases, pests, and weeds in cultivated plants, their biology, damage patterns, control methods, and their environmental impact, both theoretically and practically. Furthermore, through internships, professional practice, project, and thesis work, they acquire the knowledge and skills to plan and implement plant protection problems, research, analyze, resolve, and propose solutions. Students admitted to the Plant Protection Program through the Student Entrance Exam receive their diplomas as Plant Protection Department graduates upon successful completion.

Graduates of the department can work in public and private sector organizations. They can work in organizations affiliated with the Ministries of Food, Agriculture and Livestock, Environment and Urbanization, Forestry and Aquatic Products, universities, banks, municipalities, agricultural pesticide, fertilizer, seed, seedling, sapling production, storage, import-export, packaging-marketing and certification organizations, pharmaceutical companies and dealers, businesses that grow and process herbal products, producer unions and cooperatives, provide agricultural consultancy and serve as responsible technical personnel in food control.
